Richard Bletzacker

Bletzacker, Richard W., "Dick", passed away November 12, 2010 in the loving company of his family at 84 years of age. A Professor Emeritus in the College of Engineering and Director of the Engineering Experiment Station at The Ohio State University, he was an accomplished and devoted "Buckeye". He was preceded in death by wife Maxine (Schorr), his parents, brothers Don and Jim Bletzacker, and numerous family members.

Dick is survived by loving wife, Mary Alice (Rice) Bletzacker, and children Karl (Madeline) Bletzacker, Joan (Jim) Davis and David Rice. Dick was especially proud of all of his granchildren, Michelle (Brian) Kariker, Rick Bletzacker, Kerianne Phillips, Sean Bletzacker, Elizabeth Phillips and Christopher Phillips. Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be observed Wednesday at 10 AM at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
