Richard M. Dodsworth

Rick grew up in Upper Arlington, Ohio and graduated from UAHS in 1970. He attended the Ohio State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1974 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Accounting. He earned his CPA shortly thereafter, beginning his professional career at Price Waterhouse. He also held VP/Senior positions at several other local companies, including Battelle, RFS, and Bayer Medical, and ended his career as Vice President of Administration and Finance/CFO of COSI.

Rick was a passionate sports fan, especially of the Buckeyes, the Reds, and the Blue Jackets. He was an original season ticket holder for the Blue Jackets and also had season tickets for both the football and basketball Buckeyes for many years.

He is survived by his wife Elaine Rensch Dodsworth; daughter Sara (Stephen) Dodsworth Novak; son Bobby Dodsworth; granddaughter Gemma Novak; sister Dana (Steve) Dodsworth Johnson; as well as other beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other extended family members and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Rd on Friday, July 24 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where his funeral service will also take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 25. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Galloway.
