

Richard Allen "Dick" Green, Sr., 78, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019. He was born June 12, 1941 in Long Island, New York to the late Robert and Margaret (Presley) Green. Dick was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. He was a former Honor Guard member of V.F.W. Post 7005 in West Jefferson, Ohio. Dick's service to his country was very important and he was honored with the opportunity to be a part of the 87th Honor Flight on April 28, 2018. He retired from Painters Local Union 1275 in 2003. His passion was aviation and he loved to spend time flying his plane. Dick was a former member of the Madison County Pilot's Club where he kept is Cessna 150 and flew from. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Green. Dick is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; daughter, Tammy Green; sons, Richard A. Green, Jr. and Brett Green; brother, Robert "Bob" (Rose) Green; special cousins, Phyllis Harman and Janet Strickler; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM, with visitation from 11:00 AM until the start of his funeral service, at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway, Grove City.
