Richard "Rick" Hughes, 63, of Columbus passed away on December 28, 2017 peacefully at home with his loving wife of 40 years Marcia by his side. Rick was born on September 10, 1954 in Columbus, Ohio to Ivan and Billie Hughes. He is preceded in death by his parents and also by a son, Michael Hughes. Survived by his wife, Marcia; daughter, Melissa (James) Watts; granddaughter, Kayla Akers; sister, Susan Strickler; brother Stephen(Sandi) Hughes. A memorial service to celebrate Rick's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make charitable contributions to The American Cancer Society in Rick's name.
