Richard D. “Dick” Langley, peacefully passed away from cancer, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born on April 14, 1951 in Flint Michigan to Donald H. and Dorothy Mae Langley. A proud graduate of the University of Michigan, (“GO BLUE”) with a BA in Secondary Education, he went on to graduate from Oakland University with a Master’s degree in Business. Since 1985, Dick was a dedicated employee with Columbus Gas (NiSource). He is preceded in death by his father Donald H. Langley. He is survived by his loving wife Jackie; his mother Dorothy Mae Langley; his son Brian (Rachel) Langley and their children Isabel, Natalia and Mateo Langley; his daughter Becky (Chris) Old and their children Anna, Timmy and Josiah Old. To Dick, his family was his most precious gift. He was a devoted husband, dad, son and Papa. It is that love of family that meant that he spent his life supporting his children while they do God’s work in Columbus, Ohio and Lima, Peru. His family asks that you join them while they honor Dick’s life at his Celebration of Life service which will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Linworth Road Church on 5400 Linworth Road, Columbus 43235. Family will receive friends in the fellowship hall at the church, after the service. Private interment was held at Union Cemetery.
