

Richard "Dick" Masheter, U.S. Air Force Veteran, age 92, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 13, 2021. He was born January 13, 1929, in Portsmouth, OH to the late Pearl Edward Masheter and Elizabeth Melvina Brown. Dick is survived by loving wife, Marilyn Thompson of 25 years, children; Bob (Christie) Masheter, and Betty (Bill) Wershing, grandchildren; Lee (Lauren) Masheter, Racheal (Josh) Leson, Amy (Phil) Daniels, Jacob (Elizabeth) Wershing, and Alex Masheter, great grandchildren; Charlie, Rosie, Henry, Hannah, and an incoming great granddaughter, former wife and mother of his children, Donna Meyer Masheter, along with many other family and friends. Dick had many pursuits which included fishing, photography, cars, sailboats, and most recently watching old westerns. Dick was a proud graduate of Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Business. He was a member of Fairfield Baptist church. With his love of cars, he became very involved and made a career of it, opening Dick Masheter Ford Dealership in 1967. He will be missed deeply.
