Richard Pow

George "Richard" Pow, 57, passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on Sunday, February 14, 2021, in Grove City, Ohio. He was born September 10, 1963, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Richard grew up in Bay Village, Ohio. He graduated from Bay Village High School, and then Muskingum College in New Concord, Ohio. He received his Masters Degree from Ohio State University in Public Administration, with a specialization in Criminal Justice/Correctional Administration. Richard had a 30 year career with the State of Ohio Prison System. The last 2 years he was enjoying retirement. Richard was preceded in death by his father, George Pow Jr. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen Watts Pow; sister, Becky Pow Blomquist; brother in law, Rick Blomquist; nieces, Katie Blomquist and Crissie Blomquist; nephew, Eric Blomquist, and other relatives and friends. Richard was a kind, caring, and compassionate person and will be missed by many. A graveside service and burial will be held Friday, March 5, 2021, 1:00pm, at Berea Cemetery, 500 Oak Grove Ct., Berea, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in memory of George Richard Pow.
