Richard G. "Dick" Sheets, 83 of Columbus, passed Thursday, September 19, 2013. He was born March 28, 1930 in Decatur, IL to the late Charles and Zelda (Roberts) Sheets. He attended Central High School and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War (51-53). Dick retired from Lazarus after 44 years. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Dolores, children Julie Kay and Randall Allen and brother Charles. Dick is survived by children Ronald (Karen), Charles (Teri), Rick (Sherrie) and Lori (Fred) Hoyle, 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, September 23, 2013 from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at 10 AM.
