Richard Allen Spaulding, age 82, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2011. He was born in Decatur, Illinois on January 4, 1929 to the late Vernon and Gladys (Smart) Spaulding. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from DCSC after 36 years of service. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for 50 years and a lifelong member of the VFW. Richard enjoyed walking, bowling, and going on cruises. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara (Miskow) Spaulding; children, Carol (Roger) Lyons, John (Lynn) Spaulding, and Steve Spaulding; five grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Friends may call on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 12:00PM until time of funeral service at 1:00PM at the SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Rev. Dennis Barnhart officiating.
