Richard William Stillwagon

Richard William Stillwagon, 93, of Arlington, passed away peacefully September 28, 2010. He was born July 13, 1917 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio to the late Russell E. and Elsa B. (Kerner) Stillwagon. Richard was also preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Harkins Stillwagon; granddaughter, Terri Stillwagon and great-grandson, Jamie Stillwagon. Richard is survived by his children, Dick (Dana) Stillwagon, Sue (Dan) Fronk, Criss Stillwagon, Russ (Paula) Stillwagon; grandchildren, Traci Stillwagon (Patrick O’Hara), Kelli (Charles) Brewer, Kristi Stillwagon, Dan Dilley, Katie (Steve) Balogh, Megan Stillwagon; great-grandchildren, Cullen O’Hara, Christopher and Kayla Frazier, Nadja Stillwagon and Shay Franklin. Richard was a member of St. Agatha Church. He retired from the US Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel after 20 years of service to his country. Richard played on the OSU basketball team while in college. After retirement, he worked at DCSC and the OSU Golf Course. The family wishes to thank New Albany Gardens and Care Center for their compassionate care toward Richard. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL 1740 Zollinger Rd. Columbus, Ohio. Graveside services will be held 11:00AM Friday, October 1, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery where Father Jerry Rodenfels will be the celebrant.
