Richard Tritt

Richard P. Tritt, 63 of Cambridge, MD formally of Columbus, OH and Budd Lake, NJ died suddenly Tuesday July 13, 2021. He was born November 1, 1957 to the late Paul and Wilma Tritt. "Ricky the Turtle" as he was affectionately known by his friends was a 1976 graduate of Whetstone High School where he played on the football team and was a 1982 graduate of The Ohio State University with a Forestry degree. He was a salesman for Koppers and Martin Piling and later sold treated lumber to various companies for bridge construction. Rick was an Eagle Scout and active with Boy Scout Troop #474. He was active with the Philmont Scout Ranch. Rick loved vacationing in the Outer Banks and enjoyed woodworking, famous for his clocks. Rick loved Tommy's Pizza and whenever he was home would buy multiple pizzas and subs to place them in a cooler to take back home to watch the OSU Buckeyes. Rick is survived by his children, daughter Rebecca and fiancé Billy Fritzky, and son Paul and girlfriend Lauren Sanders; sisters, Terrie (Kenn) Fulk, Linda (Moe) David ; brother, Scott (Michele) Tritt ,nieces and nephews; former wife, Mary Tritt and special friend, Gail Turcotte.

Friends may visit with the family from 11-1pm Thursday July 22nd at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON 6699 N. High St. where a service will follow at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery.
