Richard Ernest Yoder

Richard Ernest Yoder, age 64, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on November 26, 2020. He was born on October 2, 1956 in Columbus to the late William and Mary Yoder. Rick enjoyed spending his childhood summers at his family's cabin. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 21years and retired as a Master Sargent. He also later retired from The Ohio Department of Transportation as a Computer Engineer. Rick graduated from Breyer State with a B.S. in Computer Science. He earned his lite sport pilots license after retiring from the State and built his own lite sport plane. Rick is preceded in death by his parents, William Burt Yoder and Mary Jane (Davis) Yoder. Rick will be greatly missed by his wife, Debra S. Cochran-Yoder; children, Rickie Yoder, Cyndi (Eddie) Yoder Siemon, Candy (Hubie) Dalton, and William Yoder; siblings, Mary Ann Smith, Audrey (Jay) Mitchell, and Alisa Yoder (Shawn Rice); grandchildren, Ryan Yoder, Anna Siemon, Morgan(Chris) Bolen, Gabrella Yoder, Isabella Yoder, Miley Rose, Gage Yoder, and Riley Yoder; Step children Patrick (Lorraine) Yoakum and Lucy ( Bryan) Deskins. Step granddaughters Seanna Yoakum, Alexa and Courtney Webb and Rayna Powel; step-mother, Eilene Yoder; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives. Special friends and neighbors Jim and Becky Oiler Jr. Family will receive friends form 4-7pm on Friday, December 4, 2020 at Heart and Hope Funeral Home, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204; where military honors will be rendered at 4pm.
