
Richards C. Osborn, Jr., passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009. He was born December 26, 1940 in Kalamazoo, MI to Richards C. Osborn and Lois (Bedford) Osborn. He was preceded in death by his father. Richards is survived by his wife of 36 years, Carol, having married on December 01, 1973; mother, Lois B. Osborn; brother, Thomas Ray Osborn; two sons, Richards C. (Stacie) Osborn, III, and Thomas C. Osborn; and dog Monty. Richards earned a Bachelor’s in Math and Master’s in History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He was a military veteran having served in Vietnam; He loved the army and spent 16 years there before retiring as a Major in 1983. He was an Inspector General in the USAR from 1979 to his retirement. He worked on transmission casings for Ford in Lavonia, MI; and most recently as an independent computer consultant. His hobbies included computers, collecting knives, studying military history, and watching science fiction. Service to be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at St. Brendan the Navigator Church, 4475 Dublin Road, Hilliard, OH. Reverend Father Rodric J. DiPietro officiating.
