

Ricky was born in Newark on January 27, 1953 to Carl Rine of Newark, and the late Mary Katherine (Mears) Rine. He passed away at his residence on March 13, 2011.
Ricky graduated from Newark High School in 1971. He was a machinist at Walker Manufacturing for 20 years and also drove for Yellow Cab Company for over 10 years. As a teenager, he also worked for Pound’s Flowers. He attended Maple Avenue Christian Union Church. He was an avid follower of The Ohio State Buckeyes football and the Cleveland Browns. He especially enjoyed traveling to Wheeling Downs to play the slot machines. Ricky was the type of person who always put others first. He loved everyone he met and knew no stranger. Most important in his life was spending time with his family. He was a devoted son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
In addition to his father, he is survived his two loving children, Ricky A. Rine and Katherine M. (Randy) Spears; step-children, Mary Cross and Jesse Favill; grandchildren, Joey, Johnny, Kadin, Maggie, Randi, Chandler and Savannah; two sisters, Katherine Harless and Babette Rine; ex-wives, Brenda Rine and Roberta Rine; his beloved dogs, Jesse James and J.J. and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ricky to the family to help with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
