Rita A. Connor

A graduate of Rosary High School and Capital University, Rita was a retired teacher from Columbus Public Schools and devoted much of her life to teaching piano. She was blessed with extraordinary musical talent and used her gifts to serve the St. Anthony Parish faithfully for over 40 years as Organist and Music Director.

Rita was blessed with a large and loving family. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Mike Connor, Cathy (Jeff) Green, Linda (Tom) White, Dan (Courtney) Connor, and Karen Thompson; grandchildren Tony (Amy) Borghese, Sarah (Evan) Blankenship, Scott White, Caitlin (Brian) Phillips, Sam Borghese, Justin Thompson, Taylor and Matthew Walston; and 2 great grandchildren Kaylee and Zack Borghese. She is survived by her sister Jeanne (Jerry) Kraus, nephews Steve (Tram) Kraus and Andrew (Alisa) Kraus and niece Cindy (Troy) Nimrick. She is preceded in death by her parents, Dora and Eddie Eckstein. She will be fondly remembered by countless friends.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 27 from 3pm to 7pm (6:30pm prayer service) at Schoedinger Funeral Home at 1051 E Johnstown Road, Gahanna Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Friday, September 28 at St Anthony Catholic Church, 1300 Urban Drive, Columbus Ohio with Father Tom Petry, Celebrant.
