Rita Barbara Priest

Rita “Barbara” Priest, age 84, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. She was born on August 27, 1932 to the late George and Edith Barido in Columbus, Ohio. She retired from Kroger after 39 years of service. She always enjoyed spending time with her family, especially watching her great grandchildren play sports. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son John “Jack” Priest; brothers George and Larry Barido; and nephew George Barido. She is survived by daughter-in-law Tina Priest; grandchildren Shellie Priest and John and Christine Priest; great-grandchildren Taylor and Johnny Priest; nephews Bill (Jane) Barido and Larry (Nancy) Barido; and neice Kathy Quinn Barido. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Schoedinger East Chapel 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43232 with a prayer service at 7:30pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 10:30am at the Church of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal 5225 Refugee Road, Columbus, Ohio 43232. Interment at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123 or the American Heart Association 5455 N. High St, Columbus, OH 43214.
