Rita June Terrell

Rita June Terrell, age 82, died June 29, 2010. She was born June 9, 1928 in Columbus, Ohio to Howard and Margaret South. Rita loved to cook and travel. Rita was very active in the Ladies Oriental Shrine, Eastern Star, and Sweet Adelines. She retired as a manager at the main post office branch in downtown Columbus. Rita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald E. Terrell; and sisters, Sylvia and Bernadette South. She is survived by her children, Eugene (Kathy) Terrell, Trudy (Jim) Crosair of Westerville, Ronita (Mike Sitter) Lynn, and Debra Shinoskie of Groveport; siblings, Sue Turrin, Howard South, Nancy (Dick) Huff, Robert (Jan) South, Judy (Bill) McCutcheon, and Jim South; sisters-in-law, Faith Terrell and Donna (Chuck) Bailey; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and beloved Doodle Bug. A memorial service will be held at 7 pm and the family will receive friends beginning at 6 pm on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E.
