Robert Earl Anderson

Robert Earl Anderson, born October 9, 1944 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late Orland W. Anderson and Dorothy Mae Snell Anderson, died on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Ross Heart Hospital. He is survived and dearly missed by his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann Hiegel Anderson of Columbus, OH; 4 children, Mrs. Richard Falk (Michelle) of Waynesville, OH, Eileen Anderson of Columbus, OH, Kathleen Anderson of Waynesville, OH, and Tom Anderson of Columbus, OH; 2 grandchildren, Lauren Falk of Waynesville, OH and Jeremy Falk of Cleveland, OH; 1 great-granddaughter, Aubree Falk of Waynesville, OH and 1 brother, Kenneth W. Anderson of Shadyside, OH. Robert attended Oliver High School in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from Academy High School in Erie, PA where he met his wife, Mary Ann. In Erie, he was a real estate broker and owned his own business, Anderson Real Estate. He graduated from DeVry University with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. He served in the United States Navy for 6 years and was a proud Vietnam Era Veteran. He was employed at DSCC on East Broad Street in Columbus, OH, where he was elected Vice-President of the AFGE union for a short time. He retired in 2011 due to illness. He loved his family, science fiction movies, reading books, and thrift store shopping. He will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends 6-9 pm Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave. Private graveside service will be held on Friday at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ohio Food Bank or the Disabled American Veterans.
