Robert Rollin Covey

Robert R. Covey (Chubby Covey), age 87, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, September 14th, 2024. Robert was born on May 21st, 1937 to Carl and Helen Covey. Robert served our country faithfully for 20 years as a member of the United States Air Force. He was known for his kindness and his love of golfing, fishing, and most importantly, spending time with his children. In 1986 he married his loving wife, Martha Jean, and together they created and blended a wonderful family. Robert loved everybody and was a selfless and thoughtful man. He enjoyed cooking for his wife and dressing up as Santa during the holidays. He was an amazing husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all of those who got the chance to meet him.

Robert is survived by his wife, Martha Jean Covey; his children,Diana, Robert Jr., Mark, Wayne, Kara, and Neil; His step-children, Melanie and Mike; His Brother Carl; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Marjorie Hope.

A small gathering will take place at Schoedinger East Funeral Home, 5360 E. Livingston Ave, 43232 on Friday, September 27, 2024 from 1-2PM.
