Cruz, Robert Donald “Big D”, age 68, of Grove City, Ohio passed away on June 16, 2024. He was born on June 30, 1955 in Grove City, Ohio to the late Robert and Norma (South) Cruz. He joins in death his parents; daughter Shawnda Anderson and siblings Danny Cruz and Richard Cruz. He leaves behind his loving wife Barbara Cruz; daughters Dawn Cruz and Chantina Cruz; grandchildren Dylan, Alissa, Ronnie and Shyann. Also surviving are numerous great grandchildren; siblings Darla, Debbie, Deanna and David; brother in-law Ray France; mother-in-law Mary France; in-laws Tracy (John) Messmer and special friend Bill Swank. Big D loved to work his hands and was an avid birdhouse builder. He owned his own landscaping service for many years and loved to go camping as well. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to Roberts’s name.
A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, June 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger - Hilltop, 3030 W Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43204. A funeral service officiated by Pastor Robert Honsberger will occur Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger - Hilltop.
