Robert Carl Denig

Robert Carl Denig died January 7, 2011 at his residence in Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Denig; also son, Jeffrey Denig; daughter, Jody Lynne Denig Ford; daughter-in-law, Sherry Denig; son-in-law, Timothy Ford; grandsons, Nathan Ford, Dylan Ford, and John Ryan Denig; two sisters, Dorothy Ray and Sue Letherman; and two brothers, Richard Denig and Sherman Denig. Mr. Denig was a retired pastor, and a 1959 graduate of Bob Jones University. He served as pastor of Cave In Rock Baptist Church in Cave In Rock, Illinois, assistant pastor at Bethel Baptist Church, Jackson, Michigan, and pastor of Morse Road Baptist Church, Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Denig also retired from Flexible Corporation, where he worked as a systems analyst. Family will receive friends Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 4 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 5 p.m. at Whetstone Gardens & Care Center, 3710 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus.
