Robert R. "Bob" Hobart

Robert R. "Bob" Hobart, age 41, of Reynoldsburg, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born December 2, 1976 in Youngstown, Ohio, to Robert F. and Beverly A. (Billock) Hobart, who survives him. Bob was a Senior Accountant with Mast Global at L Brands with 15 years of service. Besides his parents, he is survived by his son, Robert "Logan" Hobart; Logan's mother, Brandi Bowen; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey M and Maranda Hobart; nephews, Tyler R. Hobart and Emmitt Chavez; niece, Marieh Chavez; many aunts, uncles cousins, in-laws and friends throughout the world in his Kiwanis and L Brands families. Bob was also the Godfather to Kyle Merz.Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Sally Hobart, Charles and Mary Ann Billock and aunt, Susan Billock. He graduated from Poland High School Class of 1995 and received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Dayton where he was active in Circle K (a sponsored program of Kiwanis) and served as Governor of Circle K. Bob was a USSF and Ohio High School Soccer referee for many years. He was active in University Kiwanis-Columbus, where he was currently the secretary/treasurer of the club and foundation. Bob is a George F. Hixson Fellow. He was past Lieutenant Governor of the 10 W division of Kiwanis and was past District Administrator for Circle K and Aktion Clubs. Bob's passion for giving back to the community was only equaled by the love he had for friends, family, and especially for his son Logan. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at SCHOEDINGER MIDTOWN CHAPEL, 229 E. State Street, Columbus, OH 43215 and from 11:00-12:00 noon Monday, August 27th, 2018 where funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Monday. Rev. Terry Williams officiating.
