Robert E Masters

ROBERT EUGENE MASTERS, 88, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully at home on Monday, October 11, 2021. He was born July 27, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Norris Allen and Miriam (Blizzard) Masters. Preceded in death by his wife of 50 years Diane K. Masters. Bob worked hard all of his life. He worked at The Sportsman Shop bait store, was a bricklayer for Chivilo Construction, worked in the grocery business for years at Fazio’s and Cardinal Foods, just to name a few before retiring from Carfagna’s at the age of 81. He was a very proud, devoted, giving, loving Father and PawPaw. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, and when they were younger attended all their dance recitals, school activities, and sports functions. Instead of saying goodbye to end a phone call or a visit, he would say “see you”. Bob’s hobbies included fishing, watching old movies, cooking, and keeping up on current events in the news. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Rebecca, Nancy, Sally, Patricia, and brother Norris. Bob is survived by his two daughters, Amy (Freddy) Diane Slone, Dorothy “Dottie” (Don) Honaker; grandchildren, Tyler Allen Honaker, Brooklynn Martinna Slone, Freddy Cline Slone III, and Casey Elizabeth Honaker, brother, Donn Masters, sister, Jacqueline Abbruzzese, many nieces, nephews, and friends. Also his cats “Angel Baby” and “Happy” that he loved dearly and they loved him. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 3-5 pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43229. Guests are respectfully asked to wear masks to ensure safety for everyone attending.
