Robert L. Meredith

Robert L. Meredith, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at St. Ann’s Hospital. He was born in Jacksontown, Ohio on June 30, 1925 to the late Claude and Bonnie Mae Lyle Meredith.

Bob is preceded in death by his daughter Saundra; sister Patricia Meredith; brother in law Paul Strausbaugh; and son in law John Joyce.

He is survived by his loving wife Donna; children: David (Sonda), Barbara (Chris) Shoemaker, Scott (Donna) and Diana Joyce; grandchildren: Aaron, Adam, Nicholas and Tyler Meredith, Stephanie Loucks, Lyndsay and Nicholas Joyce; several great grandchildren; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Bob retired from Owens Corning in Newark. An Army veteran of WWII, he served during the Battle of the Bulge. He and Donna were members of North Church CCU, where he served on the Board for several years. He enjoyed Gospel Sings, putting together puzzles, playing dominos, and spending time with his family.

His family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Thursday, November 8th, 2018 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where his Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Friday, November 9th, 2018. Pastor Kevin Behrer, officiating. Interment to follow at Blendon Central Cemetery.
