Bob and I worked together at the BMV during which time we became good friends.  We worked together on many projects, committees and activities.  Sharing many interests, we shared ideas and stories, laughed together and even played a few practical jokes.  Bob was cheerful, compassionate and honest.  You always knew where Bob stood, and could trust him for an unbiased response or evaluation of an idea or suggestion.  Bob was a good confidant and close trusted friend. Bob was a generous man who took pride in all he did and his friendships.  I met Bob when he worked for Executive Cateering while planning a DRS conference for the Bureau.  A few weeks later he was standing in front of my desk being introduced as a new BMV employee.  Bob never bragged about things, but you knew where you stood with him.  He was a true friend. I had the privilege of working with Bob for many years and worked directly with him the past several years at the Franklin County Clerk of Courts. We became close during this time and I nicknamed him "Uncle Bob." What a great friend he was to me with a wonderful and warm personality. He was also a truly cultured and worldly person who loved to travel. I admired that trait about him. 

And humor....oh what funny man he was! We would laugh on a daily basis. He was one of the few people in my life that could make me buckle over to a deep belly laugh!

John and Mike - He talked about his brothers often and he loved you very much. 

He was a vibrant bright light in my life who I adored and will deeply miss.

Bob has been a good friend to many Clerks of Court throughout his years at the BMV & after.  I remember the day after 9/11 when he arrived in Lorain County to help us with a dealer meeting.  We were all distraught and shared tears together.
I will miss his always ready smile and enthusiasm.  My sympathy to his family, friends and to all of us whose lives he touched.

I am the Richland County Clerk of Courts and only had the wonderful opportunity to meet Bob a few times.  He was so gracious to me when I was elected and I know the staff at the Auto Title office who knew Bob loved and respected him.  His sense of humor was so adroit and, for lack of a better word, sparkling!  On behalf of the Richland County Auto Title office and staff, our sincere sympathies go out to Bob's family and friends and to everyone who cared for this great guy.  Lin Frary

My husband, Gary, had the pleasure of working with Bob for almost 15 years at the BMV.  Bob was a great guy that loved to travel.  He will be truly missed by his friends, family, and his "BMV family".  Our thoughts and prayers are with the Posey family.

Mike and Family, the Posey family in Kentucky share your grief.  Bob was a wonderful cousin and we are all so thankful we met up wit you both,  although it was many years late.  We have the photos to remind us of the good time we had down on the Posey farm in Clementsville.  I think Bob enjoyed it more than anyone.  We will treasure the time we spent with you guys!  We have such fond memories of your Grandpa (our Uncle Bill) and your sweet Mom and Dad, Jimmy and Mary Posey, love from The Vitus Posey Family (by Patty Posey Higgs)
