Robert Edward “Rob” Rice, Jr., age 51, died October 19, 2014 at Grant Medical Center. Rob was born in Washington, DC on April 8, 1963, the son of Robert Edward and JoAnn Francis (Appelt) Rice. Rob was a Professional Engineer, having graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Architecture and Engineering. Rob was the City Engineer for the City of Powell since 1999. Along with his parents, Rob is survived by his wife Jennifer L. Rice; stepsons Matthew Braund and Elijah Braund; sister Debra Ann Ice; niece Rachel Ice and nephew Zachary Ice. Rob was preceded in death by his first wife Tracy (Jones) Rice. The memorial service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Xenos Christian Fellowship, 1340 Community Park Dr., Columbus, OH, 43229.
