

Robert "Bob" Edward Rockhold, 78, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 18th. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on October 12th, 1942 to the late Robert and Ruth Zirkles Rockhold. Bob is a United States Navy Veteran, having served in the Cuban Missile Crisis while stationed in Jacksonville, Florida. He later went on to work for the city of Columbus in the Water Treatment Plant.
Bob loved his family and was there for anyone without hesitation. His children's friends were also members within the household, considered as his children as well. He instilled respect and honor of this country into his children, to be a proud citizen and member within society. He was an avid swimmer and lifeguard. He loved fishing, hunting, camping, and served as a Scout Master for Troop 778 with the Boy Scouts of America. He was looked up to by so many and regarded with respect.
Bob will be remembered by his loving wife, Juanita; children Robert, Jason (Catherine), Susan, Arminda (Tony), and Mitzi (Conrad); grandchildren Jeneil, Cameron, Margaret, Vivian, John Warren, Darren, Jammie, Robert, Christopher, and Abigail as well as 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Wednesday, February 24th from 5pm to 7pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna where a Funeral Service will be held to honor Bob on Thursday, February 25th at 1pm; Pastor Jay Schlenker will officiate.
