Robert M. Rountree

Robert M. Rountree, age 66 of Columbus, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Robert was raised in California, son of Eva and the late Maurice Rountree. Also preceded in death by his wife, Linda. Robert graduated from Eastmoor High School where he was all-state in football. Robert attended The Ohio State University where he played football for the Buckeyes. He then transferred to Western Kentucky University where he graduated from and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. Following college, Robert taught at Amanda Clearcreek High School, was a representative for Barnes-Hind, Vice-President of Revlon, worked in sales at Sizzle Marine, and was also involved in numerous independent sales ventures. He was an avid sportsman who loved boating, fishing, and other recreational activities. Survived by sons, Ronald (Beth) and Robert; grandchildren, Kendall and Kacie; mother, Eva; brother, Gary; niece, Erin; and nephew, Eric. Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M.
