Robert Marks Sanderson

Rob graduated from Upper Arlington High School in 1996 where he was a member of the lacrosse team. He attended The Ohio State University and received a Bachelors Degree from Franklin University. In 2000, Rob started his career at Verizon Wireless, where he was recently promoted to Director. His work ethic and dedication was unmatched.

Rob was an avid OSU Buckeye Football Fan; enjoyed traveling, skiing, cooking, woodworking and biking; and had a huge love for dogs.

Rob’s life captures the essence of a life lived with passion, purpose, joy and quick wit. He had a contagious smile and magnetic spirit that drew people in. Rob made people feel important, seen and valued. He truly never met a stranger and was genuinely interested in others.

Rob will be greatly missed by his beautiful wife, Jamie; their two children, Kate, who attends The Ohio State University, and Charlie, a student at Upper Arlington High School; father, Bill (Lynn); siblings, Cara (John), Emily, Adam and William (Dempsey); nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Meesh), Oliver, Eliza (Alex), Illiana; parents-in-law, Rick and Mary Taylor; and brother-in-law, Ben. Rob will also be missed by many dear friends and coworkers, as well as his dogs, Moose and Birdie. Rob was preceded in death by his mother, Karen.

Celebration of Life will be held from 5-8 PM on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at the Swim and Racquet Club, 3500 Kenny Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221, where a remembrance service will take place from 6:15-6:50 PM.

Rob’s family would like to thank their friends and co-workers for all of the love and support they have showed them.
