Robert Scheetz

Robert "Bob" Scheetz, 71, of Worthington, Ohio, passed away on October 11, 2021. He was born in Coshocton, Ohio on July 5, 1950 to the late Chester and Eileen (Engle) Scheetz. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roger, and his mother-in-law, Doris Bowers.

Bob was a 1968 graduate of Ridgewood High School in West Lafayette, Ohio. He then went on to graduate in 1972 from Capital University majoring in Business and was a member of the DTU Fraternity. He spent his professional career in the Office Products Industry.

Bob was a resident of Worthington since 1979 and he created a small town atmosphere by becoming very involved in the community. He was a lifelong Lutheran and a member and volunteer at both Lord of Life Lutheran Church and All Saints Lutheran Church. Bob was a proud Worthington Noon Lion and was also involved with the Worthington Schools through youth sports and serving on district committees. Bob spent more than 20 years coaching fastpitch softball. He coached his daughters and granddaughter, Kaelynn, along with many girls in the Worthington community and beyond.

Bob loved spending time on the golf course and volunteered at Safari Golf Club for years. He made many friends and often played golf a couple of times a week. Bob also loved Ohio State and attended hundreds of Buckeye football games, many times with his daughters.

Bob will be missed by his loving wife of 45 years Mary; children, Amy (Josh) Lloyd, Allie Scheetz (Andrew Ensign); grandchildren, Kaelynn, Ben, and Charlotte Lloyd; siblings, Debbie Scheetz (Tracy Schlarb), Nancy (Jim) Williams, Donna (Dave) Bennett, Judith Bush, Buck Bowers; and his numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Calling Hours will be held Friday, October 29, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church, 6770 N. High St., Worthington, OH 43085. A live stream of the funeral service will be provided by All Saints Lutheran Church Worthington on their YouTube channel. Burial will immediately follow at approximately 12:30 p.m. at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette, OH State Route 93.

The family requests that masks be worn for those in attendance.
