I saw Bob play football when he was a junior at Campbell Memorial High and I was in the eight grade. He was tall, thin and fearless as a defensive safety for the Red Devils. I was impressed with how he played with reckless abandon despite the fact that at six feet tall he most certainly did not weigh more than 140 pounds soaking wet. With his wife Donna at his side Bob met life head on just as he did the opponent on the football field so many years ago...with courage and love for the game of life.

Bob was one of the first people I met at ODJFS as the QStP coordinator.  He welcomed me to the job and then proceeded to explain why my job was important and what he would and could do to help me accomplish the agency goal.  Bob firmly believed in always looking for ways to improve the processes and the product provided by government agency.  He introduced me to the Association for Government Accountants and the importance of encouraging our fiscal folks to become certified financial managers.  I enjoyed working with him and missed his enthusiasm when he retired.  Please accept my condolences on your loss. He truly made a difference wherever he was.

Bob, my wife Jean and I were high school classmates at Campbell Memorial High School in Campbell,Ohio.  Bob was in our wedding back in 1957,we served in the army reserves being recalled during the Cuban crisis. After we were discharged Bob went away to college and we lost track of each other until about 4 years ago  when I called after I found out he was living in Westerville and since that time we talked almost daily and whenever possible we went out to dinner with Bob and Donna .  I will miss Bob and I pray that The Lord will take him into His heavenly kingdom .

I worked with Bob at the local Job & Family Services as he was an auditor for us.  I learned alot from Bob and became friends with he and Donna.  My husband and I have visited with them many times and enjoyed every moment.  He was a great individual and he will be missed by all those who knew him.  We send our condolences to Donna and the family.  We would love to have been able to come up to the services, but we have an out of town commitment.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bob was my mentor and my friend. I was proud to work with him at the Ohio Auditor of State’s office when Dick Nuss and Bob, in 1980’ created the Department of Audit which  consolidated all auditing functions into one unit. It  is still in existence today. Bob’s high Ethical and Moral standards often clashed with the Bureaucratic Morans (Burrons) who wanted to maintain the status quo or just out of jealousy. Yes, he was involved with politics and a supporter of labor. He was an outstanding person seeming blunt but always fair. Bob truly was a professional, He affected many people in his life and I Thank God that I knew him. My deepest condolences to Donna and his children. I regret due to having dialysis that morning ,I can not attend the funeral. 
May the Lord bless Bob and keep him.
