

SIGG Robert Lee Sigg “Bob” passed away peacefully Monday morning, July 4, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born in Johnstown, PA on September 20, 1926 to the late Robert and Nellie Bly Good Sigg. He was married to his beloved wife, Vera Sell Sigg for sixty three years and has lived in Ohio for 15 years. His family meant everything to him. He is survived by is wife, Vera, his son, Randy of Charlotte, NC, and his daughters Cindy Sigg Harris and Lori Sigg Hodges of Columbus, OH. He was a proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren and twenty one great grandchildren. He was a member of the First Brethren Church of Johnstown for over thirty years and served as moderator and treasurer. Bob served in the Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war he worked for The Tribune Democrat, for forty two years. He enjoyed his retirement years serving with the Masons and the Shriners and traveling with his family. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 1 PM on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Linworth United Methodist Church, 7070 Bent Tree Blvd., Columbus. Following the service, friends will be received in the social hall. The family wishes to thank the nurses at Riverside Methodist Hospital for the loving care provided during his stay there.
