Robert John Snyder, 77 of Westerville, Ohio lost his battle with cancer on January 30th, 2021 with his family at his side. He was born October 2, 1943 in Buffalo, New York to the late Robert A. and Alice R. Snyder. He served in the United States Air Force, reaching the rank of Sergeant. Robert spent his sales career with the Siemens-Power Generation Company until his retirement. To say Robert enjoyed golf or Corvettes is an understatement. He consistently played over a 100 rounds of golf per year at Glen Ross Golf Club with his friends, Frank Abele, Terry VanHouten, Bill Cheek and Lee Fledderjohan. He was a collector of Corvettes, owning one from the first 7 generations (C-1 to C-7). He would enjoy going to car shows with his son and friends. When it came to meals Bob's favorites were Filet Mignon from Eddie Merlot's or Beef on Weck and Pastry Hearts from Buffalo. He also was known to just enjoy relaxing at home with an occasional Manhattan. Bob also enjoyed occasionally traveling to visit his brothers in Whispering Pines, North Carolina and Buffalo, New York. Besides his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his loving wife, Cheryl and daughter Michelle. He is survived by his children, Gregory Snyder and Sheila Hughes; grandchildren, Brittany VanHouten, Zachary Hughes, Joshua Hughes and Jacob Snyder; great grandchildren, Madelyn VanHouten and Lillian Warner; brothers, James Snyder, Michael Snyder and Russell Snyder. There are no services planned at this time. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. "You have been there for me, no matter what bad choices I might have made… you lovingly repaired my broken spirit, helped me plot a new course, and set me free to fly on my own once again. There is no greater love than that. You will always be special to me, and no matter where life takes me, I'll remember you with love." - Marilyn K. Deacon
