

Dr. Robert E. Swihart II, age 84 of Worthington, died peacefully at home with is family at his side. He was born May 7, 1937 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Rev. Robert and Marie Owen Swihart. Robert earned his Doctorate as well as his B.S and M.A from The Ohio State University. He was a well-respected educator and over the course of his career was a math teacher at Dublin City Schools and Math Professor at The Ohio State University and Franklin University. Robert was an avid runner, running 17 marathons and countless ½ marathons. He loved mountain biking in Colorado and in his free time, built AI systems for commodities trading. He also volunteered at St. John’s Episcopal Church Franklinton with their street church initiatives. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Sue Moon Swihart; daughters, Abigail Swihart Valentine, Cassandra Rayis, Gayle Bond and Anne Myers; beloved pet Ruger. A celebration of the life Robert lived will be held 12noon Saturday December 4th at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON 6699 N. High Street, Worthington. The family will greet friends afterwards from 1:00pm – 3:00pm at the funeral home.
