Robert F. Van Fossen

Robert Van Fossen of Gahanna, passed away, Wednesday, May 20th, 2015. Bob was born April 6, 1959 in Manhattan, New York. Bob entered the Navy after graduating from High School and proudly served his country for twelve years. While in the Navy, a shipmate’s testimony led him to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Following his service, Bob pursued a career in Information Technology with the State of Ohio. Bob was a nurturing and loving father and husband. He lived his life to serve the Lord, he truly made every day count. His positive spirit and dry sense of humor made all those around him smile. Bob is survived by his parents Robert and Ann Van Fossen; brother Steven (Joanne) Van Fossen; sister Maryann Van Fossen; wife Debra Van Fossen; son Samuel Van Fossen, daughters Abigail and Emilee Van Fossen. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 from 2-4 & 6-8 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd) Gahanna. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 at 10:00am at Calvary Bible Church, 3865 North High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214. Pastor Eric Sipe officiating. Interment to follow at Ohio Western National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Bob's name may be made to the Northside Christian School, 2655 West Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081.
