Roberta J. Flaugher

Roberta J. Flaugher, age 90, formerly of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at The Sanctuary at Tuttle Crossing, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 21, 1935, in Sterling, Ohio, to Walter E. and Edna W. Bauman. Roberta dedicated 25 years of service as a custodian with St. Marys City Schools before retiring. She had a passion for sports and especially enjoyed cheering on her beloved Buckeyes, Browns, and Reds alongside her son, Jeff. A woman of faith, Roberta was formerly a member of the Wayne St. United Methodist Church. She will be fondly remembered for her loving and caring nature, as well as her devotion to her family, especially her role as a wonderful grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter E. and Edna W. Bauman; her sister, Mary Minnich; and her brother, Robert Bauman. Roberta is survived by her children, Jeff (Brenda) Flaugher and Jackie (Ted) Lyons; her grandchildren, Abby (Danny) Neary, Emily (Brian) Swanson, Theodore Lyons III, and Cyndi (Jon) Kane; her great-grandchildren, Lexi (Lane) Carter, Thomas Kane, Mady Kane and Amelia Swanson; great great grandson, Cash Carter; her brother, Rolland Bauman; her sister, Martha Prusak; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 W. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204.
