Roland R Sills

Roland Robert Sills, 68, of New Albany, Ohio, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born in Marion, Indiana on November 16, 1952 to Robert and Neoma Louise Sills. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Throughout his life, Roland enjoyed his family, friends, music and riding his motorcycles with the wind in his face and the landscape flying by. He was a great person who was always happy and would help anyone needing a hand. He loved sharing his construction and building knowledge. Besides being a great husband and father, he loved being a grandpa to ten grandkids.

Roland is survived by his loving wife; Sharon Sills; three amazing children; Wendy (Greg) Brown, Kris (Stacie) Massey and Nicholas Robert Sills; ten awesome grandchildren; Kody (Hannah) Doyle; Grace Doyle; Noah Brown; Emma Brown; Ana Massey; Fran Massey; Ava Sills; Lilly Sills; Nicholas Robert Sills Jr.; and Maci Sills; mother; Neoma Louise Sills; sister; Jackie Dale along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert Carl Sills.

He is lovingly remembered for his infectious smile, generosity, compassion to all, and always being there for his family. Most of all he will be remembered for his love of dancing regardless if there was music or not.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 18 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST FUNERAL HOME, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, from 1pm to 4pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 4pm.
