

Ronald R. Hill, Sr., 71, of Circleville, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at Berger Hospital. He was born August 3, 1940 in Williamsport, the son of Harold Marvin and Mary Pauline (Pitt) Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Pat Courtright. Ron was a graduate of Stoutsville High School and retired from AT&T in Columbus. He owned and raced harness horses for many years and was an avid fan. He also enjoyed going to auctions. He played basketball and softball and was a big fan of Duke basketball and Michigan football. Ron’s real joy in life was his family, especially the grandkids. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Joyce (Bolin) Hill; sons, Ron Hill, Jr. of Ashville and Donald (Kelly) Hill of Circleville; daughters, Chrisha (Gene) Weber and Kim (Jeff) Trago of Circleville; grandchildren, Ronnie Hill III, C. J. “Budster” Sturgell, Kayla (Tony) Kuhn and Travis Orin; great-grandchildren, Parker Kuhn, Jada and Gracelyn Orin; sisters, Marilyn (Syl) Schlosser of Columbus, Sue (Jerry) Collins of Circleville and Angela Hiatt of Cincinnati; many nieces, nephews and good friends.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 10, 2012 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Ty Myers officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
