Ronald Hunt

Ronald Edward Hunt, age 69 of Westerville, passed into the arms of God on August 7, 2011 with his family by his side. Ronald was born March 2, 1942 in Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, Illinois, son of the late Clarence and Stella Hagen Hunt. Ronald was an Alumnus of Southern Illinois University and The Ohio State University where he earned his Masters in Mathematics. He began his career as an Actuary with Nationwide Insurance for 34 years and retired as Vice President. Ron next became President of Wausau Insurance for 3 years and then moved on to become President of United Commercial Travelers Insurance for 8 years. Ron was a member of Worthington Presbyterian Church, The Society of Actuaries, and longtime member of York Golf Club. He will be missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara (Bird) Hunt; children, Ronda (Paul) Siniff, Brian Hunt, and David (Jeannie) Hunt; grandchildren, Delaney, Reagan, and Garrison; brother, Robert (Deanna) Hunt; nephew, Andrew (Amanda) Hunt; and many other dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M. Thursday, August 11, 2011 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., where family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until time of service.
