

Ronald Roy Krueger, 73, passed away peacefully at the Village at Westerville, Wednesday, February 16, 2011. He was born in Fond du Lac, WI on September 2, 1937 to the late Albert and Mildred Krueger. His family is comforted by knowing that Ron is now happy, healthy and without pain in the arms of his Lord. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired Firefighter on disability for the City of Columbus, where he regularly attended the 4 Unit meetings. He was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and OSU Buckeyes, he loved movie matinees, dancing with his wife Joy and most of all gatherings with his family. He is preceded in death by his brother-in-law Jerry Firoben. Ron is survived by the keeper of his heart, Joy, his loving wife of fifty-one years, four children Brant (Jennifer) Krueger, Todd (Julie) Krueger, Troy (Tracy) Krueger and Shera Abbott (Frank Harrison); ten grandchildren Zachary, Megan, Heather, Taylor, Joshua, Mackenzie, Amanda, Amber, Cory and Luke, two sisters Kathy Kelley and Lee Ann (John) Baldwin, brother-in-law Tom (Patty) Firoben, sister-in-law Ruth Firoben. Special thanks to the staff and residents of the Village at Westerville, especially his favorite aide Yolanda and his roommate Leo. Family will receive friends Friday from 5-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd. where a funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
