

Ronald Marsico, 76, of Worthington, OH, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2012. He was born to the late Salvatore and Rose Marsico on January 14, 1936 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Ron was a passionate civil engineer who spent his career designing transmission towers and developing several patents for the American Electric Power Corp. He was a loyal, honest and intelligent man who loved his family deeply. His family and friends admired his tenacity, love of life and passion for politics, boating and social events. He was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, a Greek-Italian breakfast group in Florida and Romeo’s Lunch Group in Worthington. He and his loving wife of 34 years, Winnie, belonged to the Cooking Couples Group in Worthington. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Robert, and granddaughter, Natalie Celsa. He is survived by his wife, Winifred Marsico; children, Jean (Sean) Moran, Douglas (Susan) Marsico, Ronald Jr. (Margarita) Marsico, Valerie (Chris Hala) Marsico; grandchildren, Liam and Eddie Moran, Alexis and Caitlyn Marsico; extended family and friends. Friends may call from 2-4pm & 6-8pm (with prayer service) on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at St. Peters Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd., Columbus, OH 43235. Father Justin Reis, Celebrant. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
