Ronald E McCain

Ronald Eugene McCain, 74 of Circleville, Ohio passed away on Sunday, August 21st, 2016 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born June 14, 1942 in Circleville Ohio, he was the son of James T. and Vivian (Hamilton) McCain. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Tanner Jo Lehr. A 1961 graduate of Circleville High School, he was a longtime employee of Elsea Inc. building dept. and was recognized as having built over 11,000 sets of steps for consumers during his employment. Passionate about sports, Ronnie was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, Circleville Tigers and NASCAR. He also thoroughly enjoyed watching and cheering on his children and grandchildren in various sporting events throughout the years. Always enjoying competition, he was entertained by shooting pool and arcade bowling. On June 3rd 1967, he was joined in marriage by his wife Geraldine Combs, who survives him. Also surviving him are his three children, Jamie (Lonnie) Hawk of Kingston, Heather Saunders of Circleville and Matthew McCain of Circleville; three grandsons, Wesley McCain, Trevor (Felecia) Saunders and Chase Lehr, brothers and sisters, Connie Ward of Circleville, Gary (Tami) McCain of Circleville, Larry McCain of Stoutsville, Bonnie Hoskinson of Lancaster, Jimmy McCain of Texas, Mary Lou Belts of McArthur, Robert (Sandy) McCain of Circleville, and Gene (Bonnie) McCain of Williamsport. His special friend Fran Roberts of Circleville also mourns his passing, along with his favorite pet, Sunshine. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 25th 2016 at 11:00am at Defenbaugh Wise Schoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St, Circleville. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm, with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Circle Area Humane Society, located at 185 Island Rd, Circleville, Oh.
