Ronald McCarty

Ronald McCarty, age 77, passed away at home Monday, December 29, 2014. He was born August 15, 1937 in Wheelwright, KY to the late Wayne and Daisy (Harris) McCarty. Ron was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the International Painters and Allied Traders Union. He loved his family and his church and enjoyed gardening and cooking. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wallace McCarty. Ron is survived by his wife, Frances McCarty; daughter, Tammy Allison (Glen II); grandchildren, Rebecca Blankenship (Nathaniel), and Glen Allison III (Chelsie Pawlak); great-grandchildren, Lillian and Noah Blankenship and Riley Allison; siblings, Emogene Cooley, Christine Bailey, Faye Moscrip, Jerome McCarty (Judy), Phyllis Waddles (Jim), Judy Preston (David), and Doug McCarty (Peggy); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.) Gahanna. Funeral Service will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Mount Judia Old Regular Baptist Church 940 Morrison Road, Gahanna. Offie Bartley, Moderator. Interment with military honors will follow at Mifflin Township Cemetery.
