Ronald C. Otto, age 64, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010. He was born in Columbus on September 12, 1945, and was a longtime resident of Gahanna, and most recently resided in Lancaster. Ronald was the owner of Professional Auto Care (PAC), and his love of cars and racing is a legacy that he passed down to his children and grandchildren. The family always came together to watch Ronald race, and the tradition continues as his sons, and now his grandson, take after him through racing and working on cars. He was also able to spend many years working alongside of his sons at PAC. He was a hard worker, and had a love for animals and bluegrass music, but his greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Otto; children, Ronald Otto, Christie (Chuck) Spicer, and Kenneth (Carol) Otto; grandchildren, Karlee, R.J., Lauryn, Kacey, and Gracie; sisters, Janice, Imogene, and Norie; and special friends, Waldo, Phil, Jack, Joe, and Harold. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mary Otto; and brother, Glendale. Family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna. A memorial service to honor Ronald will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with Celebrant Andrew Hoover officiating.
