Ronald E. Shepherd

Ronald E. Shepherd, age 77 of Gahanna, passed away September 4, 2012. Ronald was born and raised in Columbus, son of the late Denver and Ellen Shepherd. Also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Ronald served in the US Army as a MP. He was a very loving and caring man who could sometimes be a little ornery. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with family, but nothing made his smile quite like his wife, Carole. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Carole Shepherd; children, Tamie Thomas, Deborah Cramblit, Ronald Shepherd, Jr., Louis Shepherd, Denver (Sherry) Shepherd, and Ellen (Rick) Compton; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; siblings, Midge and Eldon; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Mifflin Township Cemetery, 218 Agler Rd., Gahanna. Family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M.
