Ronald Samuel Smith, Jr., age 75, of Groveport, died unexpectedly at his home. He was born August 10, 1946 in West Virginia, son of the late Ronald Samuel Sr. and Glenna Jean (Godby) Smith. Ron was a carpenter who worked for WW Cabinets and Chakeres Restaurant Supply Co. for 17 years each. He will be deeply missed by his children, Steven (Lisa) Smith, Sonya Baldwin and Mandy (Robert) Ayers; grandchildren, Roni, Stevie, Sarah, Jordan and Joslyn; several great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Darrell (Nettie), Gene (Diane) and Billy Smith, Darlene Pruden; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Ron was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Juliauna Ayers and several sisters. He was a veteran of Vietnam U.S. Army where he was a paratrooper. A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 pm Friday, February 18, 2022 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232. Private interment at a later date.
