

Rose Violante Ferritto, age 100, of Grove City Ohio passed away June 14, 2026. Born April 20, 1926 in Niagara Falls, New York to Mariano and Epifania (Leone) Violante. Proceeded in death by her husband, Dr. Jerauld D Ferritto, Sr. and brother Dr. Mario J. Violante.
She is survived by sons Dr. Jerauld D. Ferritto Jr (Susan), Dr. Jeffrey M Ferritto; daughters Janet R. Ferritto and Roslyn F. Mollica (Ben). She was Nonna and Grandma to Elaine F. Calip (Ian), Caty F. Parks (Justin), Mark J. Ferritto, Dominick B. Mollica (Lauren), Marie F. Tench (Thomas), Joseph M. Mollica (Marissa), Mitchell E. Mollica (Cody); 11 great grandchildren; and Aunt Rose to many nieces and nephews.
Rose had a deep affection and talent for music and singing. She was an athlete, a baseball enthusiast, a world traveler, a daughter, wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a loving friend.
Rose was a child of the Great Depression, a teenager during the Second World War, a newlywed and mother during the Cold War Fifties, raising a family in the turbulent Sixties and Seventies. She worked in various professional offices from the age of 16 to 75. then retired and traveled the world.
Love of family was what made her happiest.
Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Road on Thursday, June 25 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, June 26th at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High Street in Lockbourne, followed by entombment.
