Rosemary was born in Columbus, Ohio and graduated from DeSales High School. Her working years were spent at Nationwide Insurance (where she met her husband Bob), at the Limited, and most importantly, at home raising her daughter Marianne Heather. She ended her working career after 13 years at Barnes and Noble at Easton, which was a dream job for her because of her love of books and reading. Rosemary had an eclectic interest in books covering, history, archeology, poetry, science fiction, fantasy, and romance. She loved nature and all animals and was a supporter of a variety of conservation, and animal rights and protection organizations. With her husband she enjoyed gardening, backyard bird watching, and walks in the Metro Parks in and around Columbus. Rosemary also was an active user of the internet taking advantage of the many blogs, podcasts, and video sites to stay on current books, music, news, nature, and animals (yes, that includes cute kitten videos). Rosemary is preceded in death by mother Marguerite, father Norman, and brother, David Thompson. She is survived by husband, Bob; daughter,, Marianne Heather; son-in law, Keith Jackson and many loving and supportive family members: Kerry and Becki Dean, Mark and Melyna Dean, and Holly and David Schlotterer and their four beautiful daughters (Abbyrose, Eve, Darby, and True) all from of Richmond, Virginia; Timothy and Cindy Dean from North Carolina and their awesome grown children (Timothy and Kayle); and Merrybelle England, and William and Nikki England of Overland Park, Kansas (also with wonderful children Alec, Mason, Hunter, and Robyn). We thank all Rosemary's friends and neighbors who have helped her (and us) during the last few months. Your kindness brought a smile to her face at a very difficult time for her. Contributions can be made to The James Cancer Hospital, OSU, 660 Ackerman Rd., 6th Floor, PO Box 183112, Columbus, OH 43218 or a cat welfare organization of your choosing. A Celebration of Rosemary's life will be held at 6:00pm, Thursday, January, 14, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd.) Gahanna, where the family will receive friends from 5pm to 6pm.
