Rosemary Elaine Murphy

Rosemary E. (Strinkoski) Murphy, age 68, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 in her home. She was born May 31, 1952 in Wilkes-Barre, PA to the late Joseph Strinkoski and Emily (Bernatoski) Strinkoski. She graduated from James M. Coughlin High School and went onto Wilkes University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Sociology. Out of college she was a Social Studies teacher, but then spent her time as a stay-at-home mother. She married Michael D. Murphy on November 28, 1974 - Thanksgiving Day. Rosemary enjoyed traveling, especially to Disney World, San Diego, and on cruises. She enjoyed reading, watching baseball, and was an avid fan of the Grove City Greyhounds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Rosemary supported her husband's love of flying, even learning how to land a plane in an emergency. Rosemary is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Michael, son; David (Karen) Murphy, grandchildren; Emma, Braeden, Colin and Kayla Murphy, mother, Emily Strinkoski, brother, Daniel (Donna) Strinkoski, sister, Paula (Robert) Manley, and several nieces and nephews, as well as some dear friends.
