Rosemary was born in 1934 in New York City to James and Margaret (née Hughes) Robb. She grew up in the City with her brother, James (Jim) Robb. As a child, Rosemary developed a love of school, reading, church, and swimming, especially at the Jersey Shore.
Rosemary attended the University of Mount Saint Vincent in Bronx, NY where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Education. After college, she began her career at Public School No.# 9 in the Bronx, where she taught third grade. She believed deeply in the transformative power of education and was passionate about helping others reach their potential.
On New Year's Eve in 1957, she met her future husband Warren Myers at a party of a former school mate. A year later, they married and moved to Moorestown, New Jersey, where they began building a life and raising a family together. Later, they moved to Columbus, Ohio, which would become home for Rosemary and her family for more than six decades.
A devout Catholic, Rosemary was an active member of her church community. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Victory Church since 1965, where she served as a head Eucharistic Minister and helped train new volunteers. Her faith was always an important part of her life.
Rosemary was an avid reader and an enthusiastic member of her book club. Even in her later years, she could be found with a stack of books and a Kindle Reader by her bedside. She had a love of all animals and was rarely without a dog or two.
As a life long learner, Rosemary returned to school in her 40’s, earning a Teaching and a Special Education Certificate from The Ohio State University. Along with her husband, she was a diehard OSU sports fan. Every year, she had her grandchildren create her “March Madness” Bracket with OSU as National Champion and competing Catholic Universities close behind.
Rosemary will always be remembered as compassionate, gracious, and genuinely interested in others. She had a gift for making people feel good about themselves, greeting family and friends with a compliment, a kind word or a question about their lives. She took pleasure in the happiness and accomplishments of those she loved. Above all, she treasured her family and the time they spent together.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Myers, and her daughter, Kathryn Croasdaile. She is survived by her daughters Rosemary Lehner (Steve), Margaret Schenk (Tom) and Karen French (Daniel Bowen); her son, Robert “Bob” Myers (Julie); and her son-in-law, David Croasdaile. She is also survived by her eleven grandchildren: Steven Lehner (Amanda), Kathryn Lehner (Alex Troutman), David “Robb” Croasdaile (Melissa), Daniel Croasdaile, William “Cam” Croasdaile, Blake Myers, William Myers, Margaret “Mimi” Myers, Michael French, John “Jack” French and Bennett French; and her three great-grandchildren: Griffith, Sullivan and Lochlan Lehner.
